Guide: Game Tracking Quick Start
Welcome to this quick-start guide on logging games in Pickled.App. We’ve designed our interface to be intuitive and user-friendly, allowing you to keep track of matches effortlessly. OK, let’s get started!
- Create an Event: Start by creating an event. Once that’s done, open up the event details to access match settings.
- Create Matches: Tap the “Matches” button then tap “Create New Matches” to create a game.
- Choose the Scoring Type and Method: In the “Scoring Type” dropdown, you can select either ‘Individual’ or ‘Team’, based on your game structure. Then, choose the “Scoring Method” — either “Points” or “Wins”.
- Player/Team Assignments: Next, use the “Player 1” and “Player 2” drop-down menus to select from players signed up for your event and assign teams.
- Input Scores (Optional): If the match has already been completed, you can input the scores immediately. Otherwise, you can leave these empty and update them later.
- Create Matches: Once everything looks good, hit the “Create Match” button to set up your game.
Logging Scores
There are two ways you can go about logging scores:
- Real-Time Scoring: If you have a scorekeeper who can update scores in real-time, you can use the plus and minus buttons to adjust scores as the game progresses.
- Post-Match Scoring: You can also log scores after the match. To do this, select the “Edit Match” icon where you can input final scores and change match details if necessary.
Closing the Event
After the match is over and all scores for all matches have been logged, click on the “Close Event / Record Scores” button. This will save all match results and update player stats.
